Bitcoin Surge Lifts Spot ETF Inflows to Three-Month High of $517.2 Million

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds posted their largest daily net inflow in about three months.

Crypto data provider SoSoValue said on Aug. 20 that spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of $517.2 million a day earlier. The funds have now logged net inflows for three straight trading sessions. By size, the latest inflow was the largest in about three months.

BlackRock's IBIT led with net inflows of about $284.7 million. Fidelity's FBTC and Ark Invest's ARKB posted net inflows of $62.4 million and $77.7 million, respectively. Other ETFs that drew money included Bitwise's BITB with $35.6 million, Grayscale's GBTC with $21.2 million and Morgan Stanley's MSBT with $10 million.

US spot Ethereum ETFs also posted net inflows of $189.1 million a day earlier. BlackRock's ETHA led the gains with about $122.1 million in net inflows.

Fidelity's FETH took in about $36.5 million, while Grayscale Mini ETH drew $16 million. BlackRock Staking ETHB and Morgan Stanley's MSSE posted net inflows of $9.7 million and $2.25 million, respectively.

The sharp inflows into crypto ETFs came as Bitcoin rallied. According to CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin was trading at $69,561.58 as of 3:27 p.m. Korea time on Aug. 20, up about 8.3% from a day earlier.

Ethereum surged nearly 18% from the previous day, reclaiming the $2,200 level.
