Strategy, the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder, saw its unrealized loss shrink sharply as Bitcoin surged.
BlockBeats reported on Aug. 20 that Strategy’s unrealized loss on its Bitcoin investment stood at about $4.77 billion as of that day.
The company’s unrealized loss had previously exceeded $10 billion when Bitcoin’s slide intensified. But after Bitcoin jumped on Aug. 19 and reclaimed the $69,000 range, Strategy’s paper loss narrowed substantially.
In a recent investor report, Strategy said it held 840,447 Bitcoin as of Aug. 9. Its average purchase price was $75,385 per token, for a total acquisition cost of about $63.36 billion.
