Wintermute Transfers $57 Million in Solana and Bitcoin to Exchanges, Fueling Sale Speculation

Global crypto market maker Wintermute transferred nearly $60 million worth of Bitcoin and Solana to centralized exchanges.

Odaily reported on Aug. 23 that Wintermute deposited about 169.5 Bitcoin to Binance, worth about $13.1 million at current prices.

Wintermute also transferred about 129,500 Solana to Binance the same day. The tokens were worth about $12.4 million.

Another 407.5 Bitcoin was deposited to Coinbase through a separate intermediary wallet. That amount was valued at about $31.4 million.

The total value of the cryptocurrency Wintermute moved to Binance and Coinbase on Aug. 23 reached about $57 million. Onchain Lens said assets moved to exchanges may be used for selling.
