US spot-Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded their largest weekly inflow in about 10 months as investors poured money into the products during Bitcoin's more than 20% rally over the week.
Cointelegraph, citing SoSoValue data for the week ended Friday, reported on Aug. 24 that US spot-Bitcoin ETFs posted total net inflows of $1.92 billion last week. That was their strongest weekly performance since October 2025.
Spot-Ethereum ETFs also attracted fresh money. ETF analyst Nate Geraci wrote on X that the funds brought in about $700 million last week. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs logged their strongest weekly inflows since October 2025.
The gains in fund flows coincided with a surge in Bitcoin. CoinGecko data showed the cryptocurrency started the week near $63,000 and briefly rose above $79,000 during Friday trading. It climbed more than 20% for the week.
Even so, US spot-Bitcoin ETFs remain in net outflow territory for 2026. The funds have recorded about $2.91 billion in net outflows so far this year. Monthly data show net outflows of $2.43 billion in May and $4.51 billion in June, while August had posted $2.38 billion in net inflows as of Friday, making it the strongest month for inflows this year.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, ticker IBIT, led last week's gains. Farside Investors data showed the fund recorded net inflows for five straight trading days, drawing a total of $1.33 billion. Daily inflows rose from $160.2 million on Monday to $503 million on Thursday before slipping to $239.3 million on Friday.
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas wrote on X that IBIT's daily inflow pattern was "a classic bullish signal pattern."
