Strategy made no additional Bitcoin purchases last week, while expanding its dollar reserves to $5.1 billion and separately securing $1.59 billion in cash.

Zoomer, an overseas financial news outlet, reported on Aug. 24, citing a company filing, that Strategy did not buy any additional Bitcoin during the week.

Michael Saylor, Strategy's executive chairman, wrote on X the same day that the company's dollar reserves had increased to $5.1 billion and that it had also set aside $1.59 billion in cash. As of Aug. 23, Strategy held Bitcoin equivalent to about 4% of total supply, with net leverage at about 0%.

He said the separate cash could be used for future Bitcoin purchases, preferred stock dividend and interest payments, buybacks of MSTR and preferred shares, convertible note repayments, and further increases in dollar reserves.

Strategy also repurchased $136 million of STRC preferred stock. Saylor said the move would further strengthen STRC.

Following the repurchase, STRC's dollar duration increased by 414 days to 3.9 years, while STRC Bitcoin credit fell by 21 basis points to 59 basis points. The figures were calculated using assumptions of a 10% annual Bitcoin return, 40% volatility and a Bitcoin price of $77,004.
