Social media platform X, formerly Twitter, is preparing to expand features that let users view cryptocurrency information and trade digital assets on the platform.
Cointelegraph reported on August 25 on X that the platform will soon add a cryptocurrency trading button.
Nikita Bier, X's former head of product, said he built the Cashtags feature, which allows users to add Solana (SOL) and Ether (ETH) charts directly to posts. A trading button will also be added soon.
The Cashtags feature displays cryptocurrency price charts directly in posts. For newly issued tokens, users can also paste a contract address to pull up related information.
Bier added that X had no features for cryptocurrency traders before he joined the company.
