Forecast Trend Report by Period

Ki Young Ju, chief executive officer of CryptoQuant, said capitulation selling by new investors is a pattern that appears in the final stage of every bear market. Coinbase’s share of trading volume has been rising, but its price premium remains negative, he wrote.
On Aug. 25, Ju said Coinbase’s volume dominance was increasing even as the Coinbase premium stayed in negative territory.
The Coinbase premium measures the difference in Bitcoin prices between Coinbase and other major exchanges. A negative premium indicates relatively stronger selling pressure on Coinbase.
Ju said the trend points to capitulation selling by new market participants. “New investor capitulation is the final stage of every bear market,” he said.
