US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent criticized a letter sent by Senator Elizabeth Warren regarding US support for the yen market.

Cointelegraph reported on August 28 that Bessent said of Warren's letter, "She doesn't know much about banking, but she knows even less about the foreign-exchange market."

Warren had previously sent a letter concerning US government support for the yen market.
