Metaplanet Chief Executive Officer Simon Gerovich reiterated his long-term stance on Bitcoin, arguing against selling the cryptocurrency.
On Aug. 31, Gerovich responded on X, formerly Twitter, to a user who was weighing strategies for recouping an initial Bitcoin investment. "Bitcoin is not something you sell," he wrote.
The user said Metaplanet does not appear to have a separate exit strategy for its Bitcoin holdings. The post added that individual investors can face a dilemma over whether to take profits near the top of a market cycle or continue holding spot Bitcoin.
Gerovich's brief reply reinforced his view of Bitcoin as a long-term holding rather than a short-term trading asset.
