Walter Bloomberg, an overseas breaking-news account, reported on Sept. 1 that Iranian officials said "the current situation does not allow" a return to an MOU with the US.
The remarks come as tensions between Washington and Tehran have escalated after renewed military clashes, further reducing the likelihood of restoring the previous agreement.
