World Open-Sources ProveKit Zero-Knowledge Identity Toolkit
Forecast Trend Report by Period

World, formerly known as Worldcoin, has released the source code for ProveKit, its zero-knowledge identity verification development toolkit used for World ID, to external developers.
The Block reported on September 2 that ProveKit lets outside developers build applications that verify a user's age, nationality and possession of an ID card without exposing personal information.
ProveKit v1 is optimized for verification in off-chain environments such as servers and mobile devices.
For v2, World plans to reduce proof size and generation time. It is also considering support for the Groth16 zk-SNARK method to enable more efficient verification in on-chain environments including World Chain, Ethereum, Base and Solana.
