Naver Cloud beats SK Telecom consortium for government project
A Naver-led consortium has been selected for the South Korean government’s project to develop a cybersecurity-focused artificial intelligence foundation model.
The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, or NIPA, announced on Sept. 3 that they had chosen the Naver Cloud consortium to carry out the project. The selection followed final competition between the Naver Cloud and SK Telecom consortiums.
The Naver Cloud consortium plans to develop an AI model tailored to cybersecurity by combining Naver’s AI technology with LG’s AI capabilities and data from South Korean security companies.
