Crypto exchange Bitget is in talks with BlackRock and other global financial institutions as it looks to expand in Asia.
CoinDesk reported on September 3 that Bitget Chief Executive Officer Gracy Chen said the company is speaking with global financial institutions to understand their positions and discuss potential cooperation.
Those firms are seeking broader regional distribution of tokenized exchange-traded funds, Chen said. She added that Bitget is in particularly close contact with BlackRock over distribution in Asian markets.
BlackRock said its crypto exchange-traded products are already trading in Asia and that it regularly works with crypto service providers on a range of projects. It did not comment on any specific expansion plans for the region.
