Dunamu, the operator of digital-asset exchange Upbit, said it will strengthen its Fair Trade Compliance Program, or CP, to more firmly embed its compliance management system across the organization.
The company said on September 4 that it held a declaration ceremony on strengthening the program at Nest Hotel in Incheon on September 3. Chief Executive Officer Oh Kyung-seok and other key executives attended, sharing their commitment to fair-trade compliance and underscoring the ethical awareness and responsibility required of on-site leaders.
The event followed a compliance management pledge ceremony held in June. Dunamu said the latest initiative was aimed not only at spreading compliance principles across the company, but also at setting specific standards of conduct for leaders to carry out directly in the workplace.
Participants adopted four core guidelines: establishing fair trade by prohibiting improper demands and the exercise of undue influence; complying with fair-trade law when engaging with business associations and competitors; protecting users by providing objective and accurate information; and blocking instructions or tacit support for violations of fair-trade laws within the company.
Dunamu said leaders' judgment and conduct directly shape the organization's compliance culture. With that in mind, it plans to reinforce managers' responsibility to lead by example and strengthen internal controls.
"Establishing a transparent trading order and fostering a healthy digital-asset market begins with leaders taking the initiative," Oh said. "Let's build a Dunamu that earns the market's trust through unwavering principles."
Dunamu said it has continued to improve related policies and internal systems since introducing the CP in 2025. It plans to keep operating programs including regular training and an internal newsletter to raise compliance awareness among all employees, while further strengthening its internal compliance framework with a focus on fair trade and user protection.
