Circle, the issuer of USDC, has agreed to acquire Tazapay, a Singapore-based provider of business-to-business cross-border payments infrastructure.

Circle signed a definitive agreement to acquire Tazapay, Business Wire reported on September 8. The deal is set to close in 2027, subject to regulatory procedures including approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Tazapay handles more than $25 billion in annualized payment volume and has more than 60 bank and fintech partners, with access to more than 100 payment-enabled markets. Stablecoins are used in about 60% of its transactions.

Circle plans to use the acquisition to expand its cross-border payments network built around USDC. Tazapay has been participating as a design partner for Circle Payments Network, or CPN, since 2025.

Circle said Tazapay customers will see no changes to existing services, APIs, pricing or support after the acquisition.
