The Sandbox is accepting compensation claims from users affected by last month’s SAND cross-chain bridge attack.

Crypto media outlet Odaily reported on Sept. 8 that eligible wallets are those that properly held SAND bridged before the Aug. 22 attack on the Base and BNB Chain bridges. Applications will be accepted from Sept. 8 through Sept. 22.

Eligible users can receive the same amount of SAND on the Ethereum network on a 1:1 basis. No separate documentation is required. Users only need to execute a single transaction from the wallet holding the affected SAND.

Users holding SAND on centralized exchanges do not need to take any separate action. The Sandbox is coordinating compensation procedures with the relevant exchanges, and users who miss the Sept. 22 deadline can still apply through a separate inquiry process until the end of October.
