Tether, the stablecoin issuer, is developing a censorship-resistant peer-to-peer decentralized search engine.

Cointelegraph reported on September 8 that the search engine is being built to deliver results through distributed nodes rather than relying on centralized servers.

The system can already search Wikipedia’s full archive and is available across 100 distributed test nodes.

Through the effort, Tether is seeking to build search infrastructure that does not depend on the control of any single centralized operator.
