Global crypto market maker Wintermute has begun a large-scale selloff of LAPTOP, the meme coin launched by Hunter Biden.
Odaily reported on Sept. 9, citing on-chain analytics firm Lookonchain, that Wintermute has sold 466,255 LAPTOP tokens so far. The average sale price was $4.47, bringing the total proceeds to about $2.08 million.
Wintermute is known to have received 2.5 million tokens from the LAPTOP project team. That means it has already sold about one-fifth of the allocation.
LAPTOP is a meme coin launched by Hunter Biden, the son of former U.S. President Joe Biden. The token extended its slide shortly after trading began that day, falling nearly 90%.
