Ray Dalio, founder of hedge fund giant Bridgewater Associates, said artificial intelligence has transformative potential but warned that paying too much for related investments could fuel a bubble.

Cointelegraph reported on September 9 that Dalio views AI as a technology capable of driving major changes across the economy and industries. At the same time, he said investors face the risk of paying prices far above the technology’s underlying value.

He emphasized that even if the technology itself succeeds, investors who buy at high prices are not guaranteed strong returns.

That means investors should scrutinize valuations and purchase prices for AI-related companies separately from the sector’s long-term growth potential.
