Polymarket, the global prediction-market platform, has appointed its first chief financial officer to oversee the company’s finances.
Bloomberg reported on September 10 that Polymarket had hired Warren Jenson as its new CFO. He began the role this week.
Jenson previously held senior finance positions at market-research firm Nielsen and marketing company LiveRamp. In the 1990s, he oversaw Amazon’s finances when the company was still an online bookseller, and later served as CFO of Electronic Arts.
Polymarket had previously assigned finance heads to individual business units, but this is the first time it has named a companywide CFO. The move comes as the company seeks to regain leadership in prediction markets from rival Kalshi and attract major new investment.
Polymarket is pursuing a $1 billion fundraising round led by venture capital firm 1789 Capital. The valuation under discussion in the round is about $21 billion.
Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, is a partner at 1789 Capital and serves as an adviser to both Polymarket and Kalshi.
