Patrick Witt, a White House official, urged the U.S. Congress to move quickly on the CLARITY Act, a market structure bill for digital assets.

Cointelegraph reported on September 10 that Witt warned time for Congress to pass the CLARITY Act is running out.

He added that further delays could make it more difficult to complete the legislation during the current session.

The CLARITY Act is intended to revamp the regulatory framework for the U.S. digital-asset market and clarify the oversight boundaries of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
