The Korea Financial Investment Association will offer an online course on stablecoins and changes in the dollar-centered international monetary system.
Financial News reported on September 11 that the Financial Investment Education Institute, the association’s training arm, has newly opened a course titled “Money, Hegemony, and Stablecoins.” The course will look at the structure of stablecoins as well as the U.S. debt issue and shifts in the reserve-currency system.
The program consists of four sessions. It will cover the relationship between money and power, the rise in U.S. debt and the spread of stablecoins, changes confronting the dollar-based reserve-currency system, and the dollar’s digital transition through stablecoins.
Through the course, the association plans to examine stablecoins not simply as virtual assets, or cryptocurrencies, but as a tool linked to changes in the global financial order.
