Strategy said Bitcoin is evolving from an early speculative asset into a core asset in digital capital markets.

Crypto-focused media outlet Odaily reported on September 13 that Strategy, in its latest "Bitcoin Investor Guide," said Bitcoin's role is expanding as institutional access improves and market infrastructure develops.

The firm said Bitcoin's long-term value rests on scarcity, open access, global liquidity and independent verifiability. It added that Bitcoin could eventually absorb some of the monetary premium attached to gold, real estate, stocks, bonds and art.

As of September 4, Bitcoin was trading at about $79,809, roughly 23.3% above its 200-week moving average of $64,715. Its one-year return was about -28.3%, while its annualized return over the past 10 years was about 62.8%.

At the same time, Bitcoin's 30-day average trading volume was about $28.3 billion and futures open interest stood at about $96 billion. US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds held a total of 1.27 million BTC, while the Bitcoin network's hash rate was about 935 EH/s.

Strategy also said Bitcoin remains a highly volatile asset and does not guarantee repayment of principal. It added that different holding methods, including self-custody, third-party custody, exchange-traded products and derivatives, can expose investors to operational, legal and counterparty risks.
