RedotPay Halts All New Card Issuance in South Korea, Ends Affiliate Marketing

Hong Kong-based crypto payments company RedotPay has halted all new card issuance for users in South Korea.
According to a Sept. 15 report by Seoul Economic Daily, RedotPay recently stopped issuing both physical and virtual cards to users in the country. Users who apply for a card through the RedotPay app now see a notice saying card applications are unavailable in their region.
RedotPay had temporarily suspended new physical card issuance in South Korea in May 2025. At the time, virtual cards remained available. This time, however, issuance of both physical and virtual cards has been suspended.
Its affiliate marketing program in South Korea has also ended. Seoul Economic Daily reported that RedotPay halted its program with partners and influencers starting on Sept. 7. They had been offering sign-up and card issuance guides or providing referral codes.
RedotPay offers a card service that allows users to top up with crypto assets such as USDT and make payments at Visa merchants. The app logged about 25,000 cumulative downloads in South Korea from January 2025 through the end of July 2026.
