Apple is discussing technology cooperation with Nvidia as it considers entering the artificial intelligence server market.

The Information reported on September 16 that Apple is reviewing whether to adopt Nvidia's high-speed interconnect technology, NVLink Fusion, to boost connectivity among its in-house server chips.

NVLink Fusion allows companies to connect self-developed central processing units, AI accelerators and Nvidia graphics processing units. The technology links multiple chips with high bandwidth and low latency to improve the efficiency of AI computing.

The server Apple is developing is aimed at the AI inference market, which processes user requests rather than training AI models, the report said. The Information added that Apple could release the server as early as 2029.
