Kevin Warsh, chair of the Federal Reserve, said he would not prejudge future monetary policy decisions and that there is still too little evidence that inflation has improved sufficiently.
Walter Bloomberg reported on September 16 that Warsh would not prejudge any upcoming decision and would instead determine the policy path based on economic data yet to be released.
There has been little information showing that inflation trends meet the Fed’s required standard, he said.
Warsh declined to comment on his discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump.
