Hanwha Financial Group affiliates are partnering with financial institutions in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to pursue stablecoin-based cross-border payments and build digital finance infrastructure.

Hanwha Financial said on Sept. 18 that Hanwha Life, Hanwha General Insurance, Hanwha Investment & Securities and Hanwha Asset Management established cooperative ties with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Abu Dhabi Global Market on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum Seoul, held in Seoul on Sept. 16.

Hanwha Life signed a digital finance partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. The two sides plan to connect the financial and capital markets of South Korea and Abu Dhabi and jointly identify business opportunities in digital banking and financial innovation.

They will also cooperate to help foster a local digital finance ecosystem.

Hanwha Asset Management signed a partnership with Abu Dhabi Global Market and Hana Financial Group to build stablecoin and financial infrastructure. The partners aim to expand cross-border payment and remittance solutions linking South Korea and Abu Dhabi, while creating an ecosystem that can connect different financial systems and digital-asset networks.

Hanwha Financial also signed a partnership with Abu Dhabi Global Market for Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2026, or ADFW 2026. Through the agreement, it plans to expand its network with Abu Dhabi financial companies and global institutional investors and seek new investment and financial business opportunities in the Middle East.

Hanwha Financial said it plans to gradually broaden cooperation in digital finance and capital markets based on the network it has built through its existing financial businesses.
