Hanwha Financial affiliates, including Hanwha Life Insurance and Hanwha Asset Management, are expanding cooperation in digital finance with Abu Dhabi financial institutions in the United Arab Emirates.

Hanwha Life said on Sept. 18 that it signed a partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, or ADIO, at the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum held on Sept. 16 at the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul. The two sides will cooperate in three areas: building a digital finance ecosystem, linking financial and capital markets between South Korea and Abu Dhabi, and digital banking.

At the same forum, Hanwha Asset Management signed a three-way stablecoin and financial infrastructure partnership with Abu Dhabi Global Market, or ADGM, and Hana Financial Group. The partners plan to expand cross-border payment and remittance solutions. The Abu Dhabi Investment Forum is a forum that introduces Abu Dhabi's investment environment and growth industries to overseas markets.

Hanwha Financial affiliates also signed an Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2026 partnership with ADGM. Kwon Hyuk-woong, vice chairman and chief executive officer of Hanwha Life, said the company would turn its cooperation with Abu Dhabi into tangible business opportunities and aim to grow into a financial company that leads global markets.
