LINE NEXT said on September 21 that it had formed a strategic partnership with Com2uS Holdings to support item marketplaces for the game publisher’s major titles through NEXT Market, its global game-item trading platform.
Under the partnership, the companies plan to integrate NEXT Market into Com2uS Holdings’ key games and cooperate on global marketing.
The first titles selected for the collaboration are the stylish action role-playing game Ares and Project V, a tentative title for a massively multiplayer online role-playing game now in development. The companies plan to expand the partnership to additional game titles over time.
Ares is an action RPG developed with participation from the team behind the Dark Avenger series and was officially launched in global markets this month. The game was featured by major app marketplaces in countries including the US and Thailand, helped by its real-time "Suit Change" system and graphics.
The companies also plan to roll out dedicated in-game item products through NEXT Market and broaden their reach to overseas users through global marketing.
"The partnership with Com2uS Holdings will allow us to offer NEXT Market’s game-item trading environment to more users," LINE NEXT Chief Executive Officer Ko Young-soo said. He added that the company would continue expanding cooperation with a range of global games.
