Populous, a blockchain research and solutions company, said it will expand its advisory business for Asian financial institutions and corporations through partnerships with global blockchain companies.
The company said on Sept. 22 it is launching the Populous Advisory Network, or FPAN. The initiative aims to connect the technology and business experience of global blockchain companies with institutions in Asia.
Fourteen companies are participating in FPAN, including LayerZero, Pantera Capital, Figure, Solana, MetaMask, Securitize and Arbitrum. The roster also includes Allium, Further, Lido, RedStone, RWA.xyz, Sui and Spire. The network brings together companies across blockchain infrastructure, investment, wallets, real-world asset tokenization, staking and data.
Populous said it plans to provide advisory services alongside FPAN members when institutional clients require specialized reviews as they pursue digital-asset businesses. Support will include market analysis and business strategy, as well as reviews of regulation, technology, infrastructure, liquidity and asset tokenization. It will also help connect clients with overseas service providers.
The network launch is an extension of Populous's institutional digital-asset research business with FnGuide, a financial information provider. In September, the two companies agreed to publish regular joint reports, provide customized research for institutions and support companies seeking to commercialize digital-asset businesses. Through FPAN, Populous said it will expand that support from research into strategic advisory and business execution.
"There is still a gap between the global market and Asia's blockchain market in terms of information, experience and business networks," Bok Jin-sol, head of research at Populous, said. He added that the company will connect global firms in each segment with Asian financial institutions to share expertise and create new opportunities for collaboration.
