Fitch Ratings said tensions between the United States and Europe remain a key risk factor.
Walter Bloomberg reported on September 23 that Fitch sees prolonged friction between the United States and Europe as increasing uncertainty over NATO cohesion and confidence in U.S. security commitments.
Fitch also identified the possibility of renewed tariff conflict between the United States and the European Union as a significant risk. It said additional disputes over Greenland are also possible.
Still, Fitch assessed the likelihood of a large-scale military clash between Russia and NATO members on the alliance's eastern flank in the near term as very low.
