DoubleZero, a fiber-optic network company focused on blockchain infrastructure, has launched a dedicated market data feed for decentralized derivatives exchange Hyperliquid.

Cointelegraph reported on Sept. 24 that DoubleZero has rolled out a service that allows professional trading firms to receive Hyperliquid’s full order-book data through a dedicated fiber network rather than the public application programming interface, or API.

The service supports market data for Hyperliquid’s perpetual futures market as well as for trade[XYZ], which uses Hyperliquid’s infrastructure to offer perpetual futures linked to real-world assets such as crude oil, gold and silver. Development involved ecosystem participants including a Hyperliquid validator operator, Hyperion DeFi, MAVAN and Kinetiq.

Previously, firms seeking Hyperliquid’s full order-book data had to either gather it directly from the public API or run their own node. DoubleZero said demand from professional trading firms has grown as Hyperliquid’s public API has recently offered less frequent updates and reduced depth, increasing the need for more stable and consistent data.

With the addition of Hyperliquid, DoubleZero’s Edge market data service now supports three venues, after Solana and prediction market platform Kalshi. The company is focused on extending the dedicated data infrastructure used in traditional finance into on-chain markets.

"Major exchanges including CME and Nasdaq provide professional market data through dedicated networks so automated trading firms can receive fast and consistent data streams," Hyperion DeFi CEO Hyunsoo Jung said. Hyperliquid’s data can now be used in the same way, he added.

That does not mean Hyperliquid is becoming an exchange like CME, Jung said. Rather, it shows that on-chain markets are adopting the market data infrastructure long used by professional trading firms in traditional finance.
