Bybit Backs Bitget After Hack, Offers to Help Track Stolen Funds

Global cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has moved to support Bitget after the rival platform was recently hit by a major hack. Bybit said it would cooperate in tracking the stolen funds, noting that Bitget had helped Bybit during its own past hack.
Bybit co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Ben Zhou wrote on X on Sept. 25 that the exchange is prepared to support Bitget in every way possible.
Bitget helped Bybit when it was hacked, Zhou said. He added that Bybit is updating its LazarusBounty platform to detect and track the movement of funds stolen from Bitget.
LazarusBounty is a stolen-funds tracking platform that Bybit built after its own hacking incident. It is used to share suspicious addresses and trace the flow of funds.
In response, Xie Jiayin, Bitget's head of Greater China, thanked Bybit and Zhou. Xie added that they should reach out at any time if anything is needed, underscoring Bitget's willingness to cooperate.
