KB Kookmin Bank is teaming up with BNY to expand cross-border digital-asset payment and remittance services.

Financial News reported on September 29 that KB Kookmin Bank signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with BNY on September 28 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida to innovate cross-border digital-asset payment and remittance services.

The agreement is intended to help the two banks respond to the digital transformation of global financial markets and establish a cooperative framework in cross-border payments and overseas remittances.

KB Kookmin Bank plans to use BNY's global payments network and Pay to Wallet capabilities to make overseas remittance services more convenient for foreign nationals and international students.
