Investor funds in the cryptocurrency spot market are shifting more rapidly into altcoins than into Bitcoin, according to Glassnode.
On Sept. 29, the on-chain analytics firm wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that spot investors are turning their attention to altcoins.
Glassnode said altcoin spot trading volume has expanded to about four times that of Bitcoin, the highest level since September 2025.
The firm added that periods of strengthening risk appetite like this have often coincided with short-term tops in Bitcoin.
