Walter Bloomberg reported on September 29 that the 30-year Treasury yield climbed for a sixth straight trading day to 5.58%. The 10-year Treasury yield also rose to 5.24%, its highest level since 2007.
High oil prices, inflation concerns, heavy Treasury issuance and worries about fiscal health are fueling a global bond selloff.
US Treasuries have fallen 2.6% so far this year. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
