Walter Bloomberg reported on September 29 that LNG was left out of the agreement, leaving JKM, the Northeast Asia LNG spot benchmark, and TTF, the European natural gas benchmark, largely unaffected.
There is still room for discussions on resuming US LNG exports to China if the newly formed US-China trade committee expands future negotiations to commodities.
For now, however, there has been no immediate change in LNG trade flows, and it could take months for related negotiations to broaden, Platts reported.
