Hana Financial Opens Cheongna Headquarters, Completing 14-Year Move From Seoul’s Euljiro

Hana Financial Group has formally opened its Cheongna era in Incheon, completing the Hana Financial Town project 14 years after signing its first agreement with the city in 2012.
The group said it had relocated its headquarters, data center and global talent development institute, Hana Global Campus, to Cheongna International City in Seo-gu, Incheon. It held an opening event for the new headquarters on October 2.
About 2,200 employees from 10 affiliates, including Hana Financial Group, Hana Bank, Hana Securities and Hana Card, will relocate in phases to the new headquarters. Including personnel already working at the integrated data center, Hana Financial Town will employ about 4,000 finance and IT specialists.
Hana Financial estimates the headquarters relocation will generate about 3.4 trillion won ($2.45 billion) in direct and indirect economic effects over the next 10 years. It also projects direct and indirect employment effects of about 15,000 jobs, including from the arrival of partner companies.
An official at the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority said the concentration in Cheongna of a financial group's headquarters and major affiliates, IT infrastructure for the integrated data center, AI research and development functions, and global financial talent training capabilities will further strengthen an industrial ecosystem linking finance with IT, data and digital businesses.
