BitMine, the world’s largest corporate holder of Ether, bought another 15,112 ETH over the past week, raising its total holdings to 6,016,414 ETH. That equals 4.9% of Ether’s circulating supply of 122.1 million.
According to a PR Newswire release dated Oct. 5, BitMine’s crypto assets, cash, marketable securities and strategic investments totaled $17.4 billion. Those holdings include 6.02 million ETH, 214 Bitcoin, $643 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $117 million stake in AptCo Holdings.
At an ETH price of $2,726, BitMine’s Ether holdings are worth about $16.4 billion. The company said it has reached 99% of its goal of securing 5% of all ETH and has bought Ether every week since launching its Ethereum treasury strategy on June 30 last year.
The company has staked 5,067,309 ETH, worth about $13.8 billion at the same price. That represents 84% of its total holdings. As of Oct. 7, the annualized yield was 2.63%, pointing to about $363 million in annual staking income. If all of its ETH were staked, expected rewards would rise to about $431 million, BitMine said.
Tom Lee, BitMine’s chairman, said he sees crypto as having entered a bull market and highlighted the stock’s resilience relative to ETH during the 2025-2026 downturn. In the first nine months of 2026, ETH fell 10%, while BitMine shares declined 3%, an outperformance of 731 basis points.
Lee said that performance reflects the company’s efforts to optimize shareholder returns. He added that BitMine repurchased 21 million common shares in 2026 alone, which he described as the largest share buyback ever executed by a crypto treasury company.
Lee also highlighted Ether’s third-quarter performance. ETH outperformed the S&P 500 by 6,832 basis points in the third quarter despite macro headwinds including a hawkish Federal Reserve, a surge in oil prices, rising global bond yields and tighter financial conditions.
BitMine said Lee is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at Token2049 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on Oct. 7. The speech is set to run for 20 minutes starting at 10 a.m. local time.
BitMine also plans to release its chairman’s October message this week.
BitMine is currently the world’s largest Ethereum treasury company and remains the second-largest crypto treasury company globally after Strategy.
