Ozzy, founder of token issuance platform PONS, said he bought spot Bitcoin for the first time since January 2023.
Ozzy wrote on X on Oct. 8 that he had bought some spot Bitcoin that day, marking his first such purchase since January 2023. He added that the day's sharp drop felt similar to the selloff seen in 2023 after the market bottomed following the FTX collapse.
PONS is a launchpad platform based on Robinhood Chain that allows users to issue and trade tokens, including meme coins. In South Korea, Upbit announced on Oct. 8 that it would support trading of PONS in its Korean won, Bitcoin and Tether (USDT) markets. Bithumb said the same day that it would add the token to its Korean won market.
Bitcoin was trading at $82,428 on Binance's Tether (USDT) market, down 0.4% from a day earlier.
