Marathon Holdings, a U.S. Bitcoin miner, is believed to have sold about 1,000 Bitcoin.
On-chain analytics firm Lookonchain said in an Oct. 9 post on X that Marathon Holdings is estimated to have sold 996 Bitcoin. The sale was worth $81.13 million at the time of the transaction.
Marathon ranks fourth among publicly traded companies worldwide by Bitcoin holdings.
Separately, Marathon posted a net loss of $610 million in the second quarter as the crypto bear market weighed on results. Its Bitcoin production rose 3% from a year earlier to 2,422 in the quarter, but lower Bitcoin prices offset the benefit of increased mining output.
