Starknet co-founder Eli Ben-Sasson pushed back against the view that the network’s technical design amounts to a “misalignment” with Ethereum. He said any move to turn Starknet into a Layer 1 blockchain would require a separate discussion.
Cointelegraph reported on Oct. 12 that Ben-Sasson does not agree with interpreting Starknet’s design choices as a divergence from the direction of the Ethereum ecosystem.
He argued that assessments of Starknet’s design should be kept separate from the possibility of transitioning to an independent Layer 1 network.
Any Layer 1 transition, he added, should be discussed separately from the existing debate over Starknet’s design.
