Slower revenue growth at artificial intelligence company Anthropic does not mean demand is weakening across the broader AI market, according to an analysis. Instead, companies are spreading their AI spending across multiple vendors and models as the competitive landscape shifts.

Walter Bloomberg reported on October 15 that D.A. Davidson analysts Gil Luria and Turner Dischinger said Anthropic’s slowing revenue growth should not be interpreted as a sign of weakening demand across the AI industry.

They said companies are diversifying AI-related spending across a range of services and models as competition intensifies between OpenAI and open-weight AI models.

The analysts added that investment across the broader AI market is still rising. As a result, demand for AI computing infrastructure and data center construction is expected to remain strong.
