Cointelegraph reported on Oct. 16, citing The Kobeissi Letter and Blockworks data, that 63% of tokenized stock trading on Solana took place outside regular market hours. The figure for Base was about 60%. Regular US stock market hours run from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern time.

Moves to allow such trading within the regulated financial system are also continuing. The US Securities and Exchange Commission recently allowed platforms that meet certain requirements to offer tokenized trading of US-listed stocks on public blockchains through its innovation exemption provision.
Investor access still varies by service. Existing tokenized stock services such as xStocks and Ondo Global Markets are still not available to US investors.
