Total Funding Tops $9 Million

Stablecoin issuer Tether has invested in AIsa, a startup that supports data purchases and payments for artificial intelligence agents. The company aims to help AI move beyond answering questions and use paid services within budgets and permissions set by businesses.
AIsa said on Oct. 15 that it had completed a seed extension round with Tether and HIVEN joining as strategic investors. The latest financing brought AIsa's total funding to more than $9 million. Existing investors include Alibaba, Tribe Capital, Sumitomo Corp., Draper Associates and Sejong Capital.
Based in San Francisco, AIsa focuses on reducing the cumbersome processes involved when enterprise AI agents use external information and software. When an agent finds and uses a service it needs, AIsa measures usage and handles billing and settlement. Companies can set access permissions, budgets, spending limits and approval procedures for each agent, while also reviewing transaction records.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer Jordan Liu said enterprise AI agents need reliable information, useful tools and a controllable transaction system. He added that the goal is to let companies manage permissions and spending while enabling agents to find, use and pay for resources around the world.
