Nine crypto-asset service providers, including BingX, were newly added to the official register under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, or MiCA.
Cointelegraph reported on October 19 that the European Securities and Markets Authority updated the MiCA register, raising the total number of listed firms to 375. The update included MEGE zweite, BingX’s Austrian entity, and the Italian subsidiary of crypto lending platform YouHodler. YouHodler was authorized to provide custody, exchange, order execution and transfer services.
BingX EU Chief Executive Officer Daniel Lai said the approval means the company is ready to launch regulated services across the European Economic Area under a clear regulatory framework.
The update also included Spain’s Pragma Markets, which is affiliated with the crypto savings and investment app Goin. In Germany, Openbank Deutschland, a unit of Spain’s Banco Santander, and two regional cooperative financial institutions were also added.
Meanwhile, the register of non-compliant crypto-asset service providers rose by five to 178. The register for e-money tokens, or EMTs, was unchanged at 50 entries from 25 unique issuers, while the register for asset-referenced tokens, or ARTs, remained empty.
