- The Nasdaq 100 fell 1% intraday, while selling spread across AI-related names including INTW, AXTI, BWET, SNXX and Intel.
- Volatility in the sector is rising on funding burdens and profitability concerns tied to heavier AI investment.

Artificial intelligence-related stocks fell broadly in U.S. trading, with CoreWeave dropping to its lowest level since May 2025.
BlockBeats, a cryptocurrency-focused media outlet, reported on Oct. 20 that CoreWeave shares fell 6% on the day to their lowest level since May 2025. The Nasdaq 100 also extended its intraday decline to 1%.
Selling pressure spread across AI-related names more broadly. Odaily reported that INTW, one of the U.S. stock-linked products tied to the theme, fell 11.6% over the past 24 hours to 16.97 USDT.
AXTI dropped 6.6% to 52.83 USDT, while BWET fell 6.4% to 816.42 USDT. SNXX and Intel also declined 6.3% and 6.1%, respectively.
Volatility in the sector appears to be increasing as concerns persist over companies' funding burdens and profitability amid expanded AI investment.
