Demand for artificial intelligence agents is rising rapidly, sending graphics processing unit rental rates to record highs even as AI computing-related stocks remain near one-year lows, Grayscale said.

On October 21, the crypto asset manager said GPU rental rates were reaching new highs as demand for AI agents increased.

By contrast, shares of companies tied to AI computing were trading near their lowest levels of the past year.

Grayscale highlighted the divergence between rising GPU rental rates and weak share prices for related companies. It said that could indicate growing demand for AI computing has yet to be fully reflected in the stock market.
