Forecast Trend Report by Period

Solana's major network upgrade, 'Alpenglow,' has been deployed on the mainnet.
CoinDesk reported on October 22 that the upgrade was completed on the Solana mainnet on October 21. The goal is to reduce transaction finality to about 0.15 seconds from roughly six seconds.
The network's consensus system was also upgraded. Previously, validator votes were recorded as blockchain transactions and approvals were processed across multiple blocks. After Alpenglow's rollout, validators exchange votes directly and combine them into certificates, allowing blocks to be finalized after one or two rounds of voting.
Users can continue using their existing wallets. The upgrade does not change transaction fees on the Solana network or how apps in its ecosystem operate.
