Push to link bank transfers, cards and mobile payments, connecting fiat currencies and stablecoins to improve service access

MOA Protocol, a developer of blockchain-based financial and payment services, said on October 23 that it signed a memorandum of understanding with global payments infrastructure company Lightnet at Lightnet’s Singapore headquarters on October 8. The companies plan to link fiat payment acceptance and stablecoin settlement infrastructure to the MOA Card to make top-ups more convenient.
The agreement was signed by Leo, chief operating officer of MOA Protocol, and Tridbodi Arunanondchai, vice chairman and group chief executive officer of Lightnet.
The core of the partnership is to create an environment in which users can top up the MOA Card with familiar payment methods, including bank transfers, credit and debit cards, and mobile payments. The companies plan to pursue a structure in which funds paid in fiat currencies are accepted through Lightnet’s payment infrastructure and settled in Tether’s USDT. MOA Protocol said the arrangement will improve access for users who are less familiar with digital assets.
Lightnet is a global payments infrastructure company that connects banks, fintech firms and Web3 companies. It supports cross-border remittances, payment and settlement services, and infrastructure for converting between fiat currencies and digital assets.
MOA Protocol currently operates a mobile app and plans to launch a new card in December with enhanced partner benefits. It also plans to make MOA Card services, previously available only on the web, accessible through the app. Through the partnership, the company aims to make card top-ups easier and expand opportunities to use the MOA Card in everyday life by linking payment infrastructure with partner networks in hotels, lifestyle services and medical tourism.
Leo, chief operating officer of MOA Protocol, said convenience from the start of the user journey is essential to broadening the real-world use of digital assets. He added that the partnership with Lightnet will lay the groundwork for topping up the MOA Card with familiar payment methods and help more users use the service in daily life.
Lightnet said it hopes the partnership with MOA Protocol will provide a more convenient payment experience for users. The company added that the two sides will work together to expand the everyday use of digital assets based on their services and payment infrastructure.
MOA Protocol is developing services that connect digital asset management with real-world use, centered on the MOA-Fi decentralized finance platform, the MOA Card for digital-asset payments, and the MOA Swap token-swap service.
